So you didn't read the other thread? Redman explained quite clearly that your bike doesn't have a "differential".
As Redman also explained, any 850/1000/1100 final drive will fit.
Starting in '83 in the US market Suzuki changed the gear ratio for lower rpm's on the freeway with the 1100 models. Assuming the Australian market is similar, that means you need a '83 or later final drive otherwise your rpm's will be slightly higher for any given cruise speed.Ed

Your not moving the revs that much your looking at about 500-1000rpm in top gear using the GS850 one and it will give you abit more acceleration.Comment
