clutch plates for my maybe 78 gs550?
So I ordered EBC ck3333 clutch plates for my 78 gs550, only to find that they dont fit. I gave my local dealer a call to have them look up the correct part thinking that I just made a mistake. They told me that these are the right plates though. So now the only thing I can think is that the engine on my bike is not a 78? anyone have any experience decoding the engine/frame numbers of pre-80s bikes? My uncle gave me this bike years ago and he's since passed away, so there's really no going back through previous owners. any ideas?

the part you bought does not claimn to fit a 78 550.
Can you send them back? Maybe the vendor you bought them from posted them incorrectly. Where did you get them?1983 GS 550 LD

I ordered off of amazon, so they'll probably take them back. Amazon claimed they fit, shame on me for not doing my homework.Comment
