    Seat pan edge guard source?

I’m looking to reinstall the seat cover on my GS750 that I installed a few years ago. I’ve never been particularly happy with the way the installation job looked so it’s time to give it another go. The piece of rubber that kept the edge of the seat pan from ripping the bottom of the seat cover disintegrated so I would like to replace it while I’m there. Does anybody have any substitutes that they’ve used successfully? I saw some small rubber u-channel trim on Amazon but I’m concerned that it might create a bulge around the bottom of the seat pan.

I wrapped some 1/4 foam around the edge. Worked great, but I don't know how it will hold up long term, but I'm optimistic.
