      The canister is probably a reservoir for the rear shock.

        How difficult is it to replace the front forks? I would like to do something similar with mayber 99'gsxr forks?

          I am going to be using 99 gsxr600 forks on mine and the bearings and races are the same between the 2 models. So no issue there, I just haven't mounted them to find out if there is any further issues, but maybe someone else has had experience with this particular swap and will let you know.
