New to gs resources. Not sure how I add pics! Here's my GS550E. Bought as a standard non-runner about 7 years ago. Some might think I've butchered it!?
Currently converting to spoked wheels. I've got a GS1000 rear spoked and a GT750 front spoked.Attached FilesComment

Doesn't look butchered to me at all. Could use a front fender, but that's just my opinion. Nice bike.1979 GS1000S,

Welcome to the site, Stevo.
Is that a T500 tank badge?
Feel free to post pics of your other rides.2@ \'78 GS1000Comment

"Butchered"? Not quite. "Modified"? Definitely
At least it's DONE, and from initial appearances, done quite well.

I agree with Rich, it needs a fender.

Well, it?s been a long time since I?ve put something up here. The bike that brought me to this site is still, technically, a GS, according to the frame number and title, and is still an ongoing project. Most of the pics linked in my original build posts are lost to time. If there is still interest in something barely still the essence of an ?82, I will post an update.
What I think would interest people here most is the bike I initially bought off Craigslist as possible donor to the first project. Turned into a project of its own as I started riding it as my daily and upgrading what was wrong with it. Here is how she sits today. I still refer to it as ?Parts Bike?Comment

Thanks, Dorkburger, spreading the love. I tried, unsuccessfully, last summer to get an ES like yours. Damn flaky Craigslist seller. I would love to have an 1150, the peak of the air cooled!
Steve Murdoch, it’s a set of Gen2 Haybusa forks in TL1000s triples with B12 wheels. Kind of evolved.
I keep trying to put up a picture bigger than a postage stamp, but I am having no luck. I used to link to either my old site or photof*cket, before they took to ransom, no problem. Now, I have neither. I have tried Imgur, and it says “wrong file”, and pulling off my IPad, gets me the tiny pic. I think it is rude to hot link to another forum, so I don’t know what to do for GSR.Comment
