Congrats on the bike Andy. Looks like you got a nice one. I was actually thinking about painting my 1100G that color. Guess I'll have to find another color

Just finished doing a makeover on my GS 1100 G.
This is what it looked like before it got pulled down.
This is the finished result.
Had an original set of decals made at Motographics in Sydney. Painted it myself in 2pac.
Set myself a deadline to get it all done, from initial strip down to completely finished was 13 weeks.

Thanks for your comments, in answer to your question "Is that ceramic-coating on the headers?" yes it is, on the last bike I done up, I had the header pipes sand blasted and painted with VHT high temp paint. But on this one I thought I would try the ceramic coating, they look really good and shouldn't show any signs of heat effect. The muffler is chrome, it has a really nice note which is not too loud. Not sure what brand it is, it has Woolfs stamped into the muffler (which I have never heard of if it's a brand name)- some people think it may even be home made.

David, not sure how much you could see properly of the ceramic coating of mine in the basement at work, but you're right, you won't see any header discolouration like you do with chrome. I really like the finish and am very glad I had it done on mine.Comment
