    Turned out great, Shadow.
Did you do the seat upholstery as well?
Inquiring Canadian minds need to know. What are you doing about insurance?

The seat is the only thing I didn't do myself. The wife of a friend of mine does boat and snowmobile seats... it was her first bike seat.
I've got my other bike with TD Meloche Monnex, but they flat out refuse to insure a bike more than 30 years old, so I'm shopping around. I've only got one insurance quote so far. $579 for liability only.

I have been with the Dalton Timmis[Aviva] vintage program for 7 or 8 years and pay $438.00 a year for the CBX.
Full coverage but limited to 4,000 kms a year and an appraisal is required.
I know State Farm has been doing vintage bikes for at least a year but they usually want your house and car in a package.
I would check with both of them.

Great bikes! Really appreciate the work. Thanks for sharing.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Looks like you may have an English Wheel to do that level of smooth metal forming.
                  Great!
Those are actual gas tanks. No sealer inside. It?s quite easy to weld gas tight welds if keeping aluminum and rods clean during welding.

The project bike is ready and tested:

You are one heck of a craftsman.... Beautiful work. Hardly recognizable as an 1150, but im good with it.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"
