Guest repliedI missed this little problem when you first posted about it. It's pretty common. When my bike was only a few years old I installed Progressives and found the same thing. I drilled a hole in the center large enough to fit a jigsaw blade through. Then I cut four slots just shy of the tube walls. After that a few whacks with a hammer and the pieces fell in. I was replacing bushings and seals at the same time so dis-assembly was in order. A good flushing with kerosene and all was well.

Guest repliedThat is the stock look, there is no side decal on the es, its on the fairing. The axle cover is polished out but it is stock. Kind of sticks out with P/C black swinger...

Guest repliedThe ES never had it on the side panels. The E had GS700E on the panels, the ES had the model designation on the fairing. Joe's graphics are correct. The axle covers are correct too, lighting in the building seems to be making them appear gold colored.Leave a comment:

Guest repliedit is a really nice bike.,i had a kz1000-79, and my 83750ed,wore out is a smoother faster bike, i couldnt believe it,its at 99,98 psi(the factory limit)for compression,and it pulls and sreams at 5k! on up,i think im just goin re ring on it,no money for a big bore kit,factory stock its a great bike
although i would like to slip in a kat motor
,if anyone would let one go cheap lol
