Hey Joe, I forgot...what did you do for the black on this pipe? Is it holding up well?
This pipe is actually the original coating from Vance and Hines, it sat for many years in a box but it was basically a NOS part. It is starting to peel around the exhaust ports as expected, it will need ceramic coating to refurb it at some pointLast edited by Guest; 12-25-2010, 12:46 AM.

Guest repliedHey, Joe! Just got pointed over in this direction by <a href="http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=144220&highlight=GS700EF">Eric</a>.
As I hear it, you're in N. Dallas? Me too! Eric suggested that we meet up and show each other our GS700E's! I got me a 1985 GS700ESF recently. She needs work, and I've barely just started. I'll be looking to both of you and your posts for inspiration and instruction!
Anyway, if you'd like to meet up sometime for a ride or to shoot the breeze, feel free to send me a PM and I'll shoot you my number!

Excellent choice, the shorties on the rear keeps the stock look, and agreed, flush mounts just don't look right for some reason on these bikes.

I may try and find a set for the front as well even though they are not quite as noticeable.

Those look great. I've often thought of doing the same for the rear of the 1150. Those rear sigs stick way out and kind of flop around when you hit a bump.
