Yet more stunning motorcycle porn by Larry...

Maybe you should change your business name? Haha

Paul, that Acewell does look the goods. If I get one of my "optional extras" done that I want to on my 450, either that or the round one would work on mine, however that particular one definitely will make the gauges far less intrusive.1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

The Acewell guys always have a stand at at every annual Tokyo Motorcycle Show at the Tokyo BigSite Exhibition halls. The folks at the stand made it clear when I stopped by that they had a wide variety of models and that their stuff was quite versitile and could be adapted to any situation. They have a dramatic way of demostrating how weather proof their guages are...every year there's a Acewell guage cluster happily blinking and indicating away while submerged in a fishtank complete with tropical fish swimming by.

I may have some of the brochures left over from last years show. If I can find them I'll scan and post them. Giood stuff and pretty reasonably priced I thought.Last edited by Guest; 01-14-2012, 04:59 AM.

Thanks for passing this on Chris, it's good to know what a product is *really* like and how the people making it see it themselves. I'm definitely giving the Acewell some serious thought, I'm just not sure which one to tell my wife to buy me yetOriginally posted by Chris View PostThe Acewell guys always have a stand at at every annual Tokyo Motorcycle Show at the Tokyo BigSite Exhibition halls. I decided on this particular Acewell gauge

If I put a Quater on it you would apprecaite how small it is. A neat but very modist offering.

That is a good look while maintaining the period appeal but upgrading the operations.
Got any of it on the bike?

+1 on a pic if you've got it on yet Mark.

That's the one I was eyeing off because of the traditional round shape...1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

OK, OK, OK guys. I'll try and put the gauge on temporarily so I can get some pics for you guys this weekend. I'm a long way from needing it, but I'm curious too.

That'd be grand, would like to see if it's going to be too small to be practical for me...Originally posted by Englishman View PostOK, OK, OK guys. I'll try and put the gauge on temporarily so I can get some pics for you guys this weekend. I'm a long way from needing it, but I'm curious too.

So at great expense to my project timeline (ha, ha), please see below a few images of the Acewell semi-installed and attached to 12V at no extra cost. Origional gauge bracket in background.

The pics dont show it so well, but the guage has a nice blue backlighting.

The pick-up magnet is pretty strong.......

and for completness, the sensor (Lighter is for some size perspective.....

The cable length on the pick-up is not long enough to run the sensor to the back wheel which is where I will attempt to install the speed sensor....much later.

 Hope this satisfies your curiosity
