Yep. Over the winter I may try to fit up a GS850 tank and use the 450 tank on something else. Long story..........Originally posted by jeffasaurus2 View Post

Seat is being redpainted to match the pinstriping on the tank. Just have to finish up a bunch of odds n ends and she'll be ready for the road

This is a 1980 gs1100 that I had intended to cafe but decided to do more of a brat style instead. Shortened the rear by 9 or 10 inches and shortened and narrowed the stock seat pan. Had a local shop do seat foam and cover. Other mods are a 7" round headlight, smaller gauges, turn signals and mx bars. This winter I plan to strip off all the unused wiring and paint it and powder coat a few parts. I have a stock air box I want to put back on too.

Ignore the dead cat in the upper left.

Sup orange cafe buddy?Originally posted by gs850cafe View Postwell ill be damned...i went orange cause i never seen many orange cafe's..now i find this...good work tho i love it

 ...wish i had a kickstart .... ....

Someone else here had an orange bike that piqued my interest. I also wanted to do something with a checker pattern. Indeed, I found the checker pattern method when cruising for orange cafe images for ideas. So my orange-checker scheme is pretty much a knock-off from the how-to info I found. That bike is much sexier though. Anyway, I am a terrible person.

My kickstarter is just a prop now, since the rearsets block the kick lever.

Nice job. I like the cut down front fender. Did you fold the cut edge under or leave it?Originally posted by ChicagoBob View PostHere's my '78 550. I swapped out the rearsets and clip-ons to make it easier for my daughter to ride. Renthal bars are really nice, and absorb a lot of vibes.
