Final polish for aluminum, I'm currently using Mother's, for chrome I'm using good old Turtle Metal Polish. To get there, though, for aluminum, I go with a buffing wheel and jewler's rouge, and for chrome, to remove any rust, I use either aluminum foil and water (yes, it DOES work), or Simple Green and a greenie scouring pad.

So do the greendish scrubbies...obviously he hasnt actually used either one.

Polish AND 000 steel woll for the harder rusted spots. SOS soap pads work well too. I just rinse the soap out of them and use the steel wool along with the polish.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
