Need help with '83 GS1100E sidecovers

I need to repair the tabs on my sidecovers and need to know the lengths of the tabs. As luck would have it, all of the tabs are broken on both of the ones that I have. Can someone help and measure the tabs from where they connect at the sidecover to the end?

    Thanks,
    Ron

I need the measurements for all 3 tabs! 1 round and 2 flat on each side.

I measured all 3 of them and they were all about 17mm from flush to the cover.

How are you planning on repairing yours?

Thanks azr, that's what I needed!

I have some flat and round ABS plastic stock that I can machine to whatever dimensions I need, and then epoxy them to the sidecover.

Once you've repaired yours, it's helpful to reduce the stress on those tabs by popping the sidecovers back off using a long screwdriver with the seat removed to gently push each tab out of the rubber grommets one at a time. Also a bit of silicone grease on the rubber and tabs.
