If you’re looking for opinions, I’ll offer one.
Eww. Fv@k No. And I mean no disrespect. But it looks better as is.
But, you’re half my age, so, there’s that. Whatever floats you our boat, Ian.
If you aren’t soliciting opinions, I’ll delete mine. But, at least learn how to post a picture. Instructions linked in my signature.Last edited by Rich82GS750TZ; 01-28-2022, 07:39 AM.Links

I'm thinking of painting the motor and wheels first but leaving the tank and fairings alone for now, I'm a big fan of green and the only reason I really want a repaint done is because the tank is past touching up if I take upclose pictures. Maybe I'll think of a different colour but I should show upclose pictures of the tank to give better contextIan

Your tank and covers seem to be in impeccable condition, don't ruin them... My vote also goes to keeping it as is.
If you want that green, then I strongly recommend to use a second-hand set of covers and tank.#1: 1979 GS 550 EC "Red" – Very first Bike / Overhaul thread New here? ☛ Read the Top 10 Newbie mistakes thread

Another vote for leave alone. However if you were to put a Kawa badge on the tank......?
Your buddy's neighbours probably like him being so easy to keep up with
Seriously, I'm rewilding our place.
Let your garden alone and it will show you what it is trying to become.
I'm big into letting things alone, apart from junk that is.97 R1100R

I'll have to get upclose pictures of the tank and fairings to really show them, I just feel like if I rebuild and bore the motor, I'm gonna clean it up and alot of other things and it might not match the rest of the bike and it feels a bit wrong leaving the most cosmetic part of the bike in the shape it's in.
Maybe I'll just try and clean everything as much as possible but do nothing invasive, who knows, still having dilemmas on what I should do.Ian
