Before I pulled the carbs off I thought I would ring around and see if anyone had them in stock.

I am in Australia and the local suzi shop doesnt have any in stock.
Being a long weekend I thought I would replace the o rings.
But I didnt want to pull the carbs to get the size in case the local o ring guy didnt have any.
So if someone knows the size I could phone around.

Good luck with your local search.

I gave you a source, I'll even make it a link for you. Cycle o-rings.

You won't have them for this weekend, but you can get the right item with virtually no effort.

You need to make sure you get Viton (or some similar heat-resistant compound) o-rings. Normal buna-n o-rings will very quickly deteriorate.

The ID is 40mm, and the cross-section thickness is 2mm.

In inch sizes, #129 o-rings work great. They are a bit fatter in cross-section (3/32" works out to 2.38mm), but I've used them several times on various bikes that use part #09280-40010 with excellent results.

 For the 1980+ GS850, #128 Viton o-rings work well. (38mm ID, #09280-38004).

For the 1979 GS850 (and many others), #125 Viton o-rings work well (32mm ID, #09280-32006).1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

Excellent! I didn't know if they still used the o-ring numbering system in the rest of the world.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
