Carb sync RPM
Hi guys,

Do it at the lowest RPM the bike will happily idle at...
I initially tried at about 1500 RPM with my Morgan Carbtune but the sticks just stayed too low on the gauge to get a good idea of how it was going.
I dropped the idle to about 900 and they moved a lot higher up in the Carbtune, allowing a much easier sync job.Comment

Idling un-synched at 1,000 can be too rough for the Carbtune, so I dial the idle up to about 2,000 RPM. Also, at the lower RPMs, you may not have enough room to adjust the slides because closing a slide to raise the vacuum may end up starving that cylinder.Do it at the lowest RPM the bike will happily idle at...

Essentially, the lowest steady idle is best, but be ready to adjust the idle up as you synch.Comment
