Does anyone know why some gs450 carbs 1985 onwards do not have air mixture screws?

Hi babes, Im not familiar with that model but i know sometimes on U.S. models they were hidden under a small metal cap that can be drilled out to access the screw.

Correct. In the U.S. they were pre-set and covered to conform with emissions and disallow adjustment. Drill a small hole in the center of the cap, screw a small screw into it just a bit, and then pull the cap out. Toss it; you will never need it again. The air/fuel mixture screw will now be accessible.Comment

The US 80 - 82 carbs had them as well, us lucky Aussies had direct access with no covers, and we also got adjustable needles and larger mains...
