what has that got to do with gas in your crankcase?

a good time to check but why re install tank? drain and store? (or is this another BassCliff article I haven't discovered yet?)

I think the owners manual says to top it off.

My bike will likely sit idle for 4 months- I add stabil on last few rides , run to 1/4 tank. In spring, I'm able to add fresh gas, offer sacrifices and hope that my carbs have enjoyed their rest. Removing my tank is a personal preference.
