They can, but this is a solid and steady 20v that won't peak, alternate or trickle. When I turn it on I know what is coming out. I also use the transformer to test lights, coils and anything else that will run on low volt DC.Originally posted by tkent02 View PostA battery charger works just fine too.

I have a local radiator shop that I bring my tanks to. They clean out and line the tanks pretty well, haven't had any problems with them.

Used the vinegar on very light rust and totally screwed up my tank. MASSIVE rust. Now I am having a buddy de-rust it with por-15 rust remover which didnt work so well and he ended up sand blasting it. Still have small areas of light rust. When using sealers, how do you get the excess out and how does one deal with the fuel petcock and sending unit that are full of tank liner?Current Rides: 82 GS1100E, 00 Triumph 955 Speed Triple:twistedevil:, 03 Kawasaki ZRX1200, 01 Honda GL1800, '15 Kawasaki 1000 Versys

The directions for Caswells say to let it cure out upside down, I assume for that reason.Originally posted by limeex2 View PostUsed the vinegar on very light rust and totally screwed up my tank. I recently did a tank that was pretty pinholed down near the petcock area so I let it cure out sitting upright so it would be thicker down there.
I forgot to go pull the duct tape off while it was malleable, but was able to remove the epoxy anyway by using a utility knife.
Worst case you could just drill it back out.82 gs1100e FAUX Skunk
