Hello all I just bought a Gs850 1980 model but i need an exhaust headers an all but im on a budget lol there is several 750 and 1000 gs on Craigslist and i have been told that those exhaust systems will fit. Does anyone know for sure? thanks in advance!

I don't know for sure, but I would check the microfiche from an online OEM parts supplier and see if the part numbers are the same -
The OEM numbers are not the same, but the 750 pipes will fit the head, you may have to make some kind of a bracket to hold the back of the pipe up. On the 1000 the ports are the same, but the bolt spacing is a hair wider.Comment

I have a similar question. I have an '80 550L and found an OEM exhaust system from an '81 550T. Not sure where to look to see if they will fit. Anyone know where I can find this information?
