    Diy synch tool

Hey, whats your thoughts on this? Zirc grease fittings come in m5 thread and they have a fairly small hole to act as a restrictor. The fitting would screw into the carb boot and you slip the synch tool hose over the other end...

Yup, i think they can be pulled out from the threaded end and the ball stop falls out with it.

I just use 1/8" copper tube and thread it. Works fine. You don't really need a restrictor if you use heavy weight oil in your tool.

I ended up using a 5mm hex bolt that i drilled out. Well i hooked everything up to start synch, and with the carb tops off (vm26s) the throttle kills the bike.

The carb tops off should have zero effect on VM carbs. Something is wrong in there.

Nice Ed! I like the idea with the extensions. Well I checked and adjusted the carbs reset it all to factory, then a tad rich. Seems to have done the trick, was able to balance the carbs and my synch tool worked pretty well.. I used 10w-40 oil and still had some flutter in the fluid...

You have a picture and/or dimensions on your sync tool?

I can take one, it was some peg board with 1/4" id tubing and some brass tees. nothing fancy.

Just curious about it, as most home-brew gauges are using lighter-weight fluids, and therefore have to be much longer than is convenient.

As I suspected, just a bit bigger than average.
