Break Fluid should only ever be put in your brake master cylinder reservoir, it's highly destructive to paint. I have read of people spraying WD-40 around carb boots while the engine is running to detect air leaks, if that's what you're trying to do. Maybe even just water sprayed in a mist. Not sure about that, though. Maybe others can recommend something else besides WD-40.Links

Something strange going on here, i (think i) know Peter he's detail minded and exact.
(Boomhut ???) Something must have slipped by him.
Soo ... huge risk of dismissing the cause but if valves, cam timing, carb boots and carb cleaning and sync are ok ....
Peter, 2500-3000rpm is the point that the mechanical advancer should be at the max.
Can it be it's stuck ?
Is this the blue GS1000 with GS1100 pistons/cylinders and nicle frame and "The Clang" modification ?

My thoughts exactly
If you go thru every possibilty on a carb problem, the solution is an ignition problem1978 GS 1000 (since new)

Yes, its me, my nicknameValves; Checked by Yordie , seats are polished, Checked with gasoil , 1 & 4 exhaust leaked a minimum
Soo ... huge risk of dismissing the cause but if valves, cam timing, carb boots and carb cleaning and sync are ok ....
Cam Timing, Checked By me and Yordie , half a tooth off the lead, thats odd because of the new chain.
Carb Cleaned, (both sets) checked channels with breakcleaner. New Orings ( http://www.cycleorings.com/VMkit.html)
Carb Boots, new O-rings and used new seat from Cruzin Image
Carbs are Synchronized.
0.5 oversized pistons and rings an Cilinders
We use a electronic one 32900-49410, with electronic advancer.
Peter, 2500-3000rpm is the point that the mechanical advancer should be at the max.
Can it be it's stuck ?No this is another one, I Bought it in March 2019, that one with gs1100 pistons is crashed with his new owner.
Is this the blue GS1000 with GS1100 pistons/cylinders and nicle frame and "The Clang" modification ?
(used the front brake when cornering)
We did a leak test max 5%
