The age of these bikes does make 2nd hand vintage parts risky. It's a hazard- People do sell broken things as valuable because they're old-and not because they actually work..I've been burned on this myself-bought a rare, fits-my-bike-only speedometer, it arrived with a broken needle..naturally so- being 1980 plastic, sitting in the sun for xxx years, twas brittle and just fell apart in shipping.
