I am determined to get the bike running now. Haven't ridden one in a long time but the interest is back. Funny thing is that the wift didn't complain (much) when I told her about this one. It is not so much the ride but the challenge of repairing it that is the fun part. Now it is game on....

@tas850...Tas, I would like to take you up on your offer to cross reference the OEM part number of my ignitor: 32900-47020 (1918 gs450s). I am in the process of testing the ignitor now, but want to have an idea of how much it would cost to replace in the event it is faulty.

I have a '82 650 g, my igniter number is 32900-45411, are there different numbers for the same igniter?

Are you sure you are reading those last digits right? I got four of these from various years of gs650 and they all are 32900-34210; including the one on my bike.

are you sure your bike is a 650? that part # for the Igniter crosses to the larger GS's 750's, 850's,1000's, and 1100's. If you are sure it is a 650 it is something someone installed, because it isn't for a 650.

I'm pretty sure it's a 650. Where would the engine displacement be marked? the title shows "650" but this might explain why it does not run. Hmmmmmmmm?

Or take a pic- the 650's have distinct features.
