    You would be much better off with the Honda R/R, unless you are looking for an education

      There are those of us who believe the R/R is the cause of failure of the stator. I would truly hesitate to try to save $25 and risk a $150 stator.
      I would also be concerned about the lack of cooling fins on that regulator.

        The regulator you are considering building is for a field regulated alternator and not the shunt regulator type used on the GS. They are not interchangeable unfortunately.
