Thanks for the quick reply. Go back to your previous setting on the screws and report back, please. There is a special circumstance which may be your case as well. We can walk through that also.

It sounds like you are now too lean. If so, take it back to the previous setting (CCW, richen it) 1/4 turn. Try that. I have an idea, which I have discussed with someone else, actually a couple of members, but it will take a bit more fiddling. And please do not try to not keep it running by blipping the throttle. That masks the issue.
I adjusted the idle screw to bring it up, it was going below 1000

You'll get it GK. At least it isn't stalling on you.
got to get a glove, or a screwdriver

and it's not stalling at the moment, either because I am blipping the throttle and or the idle is so high, it's one or the other...

    Thanks for the encouragement...

I do the same thing, minus the monkey. And I use a flathead...

Of course, it becomes a real PITA if the plastic bushing has separated from the metal housing.

OK so I go out for lunch,,,,start the bike, very low idle after waiting a few minutes, so I bring up the idle, and got it right....

Ride home, still thinking it going to stall, it just feels that way....get home, go in and have lunch, relax, and before I know it, time to go back....

get back on the bike start her up, and she idles at over 2200 rpms, engine still hot, trying to lower the idle, can't burn my hand, getting ****ed, have to get to work, so phuk it, drop her into first and off I go, get to work, pull into the underground, idle at 2500 now, engine even hotter, can't touch anything, turn the bike off via key, cursing, swearing, muttering, etc.....

I am not liking this, the pain in my hand that is, and the high idle as well, plus I think she is still ready to stall out.....

I am sure she won't cool down enough in a couple of hours to try and adjust her more, still gonna burn myself if I try to get at the idle screw, so no matter how she runs, I just gotta get home....

I am really not liking this bike,,,,,,really......

That is O.K. I am a pessimistic optimist. Or is that an optimistic pessimist?
At any rate, to ride is to know, to paraphrase Ed.

so no more removal of plugs,,,this is good....LOL

now if she don't die, I might be good to go....

if she dies, then another 1/4 turn in (clockwise) or less of all 4 screws...

test again....fiddle with idle if necessary

at some point I should be spot on....

and yes I am glad I made it to work......

well sort of, a day off is never a bad thing.......
