Yes, but there is a LOT of effort involved.
Why do you want to bypass it?

I want to bypass it because my controller unit is bad. A new one is $300 and the used ones are $100 with about a %50 chance of working properly. what exactly do i have to do to bypass it?Comment

Do you know for a fact it is bad?
What's it not doing? totally dead, no flashing either side, one side flashes only, or does it not self cancel?
You can troubleshoot it.
Here's a manual.
Once you download it, go to page 12-14 which shows you a block diagram of the circuit.
There's a troubleshooting guide for it on pages 12-16 through 12-18.
Hope this helps.
I wouldn't bypass it until you know for a fact it is bad.Comment

The tape on them is where I wrote what was wrong for each unit.
