    Chill !. This member is looking for help not in house squables. Give it a rest file or sand, WHATEVER. Sparks and a ruuning bike is the goal here.
    My bikes 79 GS1000 1085 checked and approved by stator the GSR mascot :eagerness: and 77 GS750 with 850 top end, GS850g, and my eldest sons 78 GS550, youngest sons GS125. Project bike 79 GS1000N

      No squabbles.

      Silica from sanding points will insulate the contacts if not properly removed. The OP said they can see a slight spark from the right side points, which is normal. The OP didn't say they saw slight sparking coming off the other set- which could be caused by point contacts not making a proper contact.

      This is not conjecture or suppose. Filing points was a valid suggestion.

        Yeah,sandpaper's for in a pinch.It would be hard to add anything meaningful to Earlfors post. Unless it's making sure he understands how to gap them.
