    coils/wires/caps... ohm my!

Whats the best deal out there for a coil/wire/cap set up for a 80 GS850?

The coil wires are usually epoxied into the coils, so you will have to first remove that if you really want to replace the whole wire. Most often you just need to cut 1/4 inch or so off the end of the wire (where the plug cap screws in) and you are good to go.

NGK brand plug caps are a suitable replacement for the originals. They are available in different shapes (straight; angled) and resistance values, so make sure you get the correct specification for your bike.
