    Directional puzzler?

My directionals function perfectly if the temperature is under 70 degrees F. If it's warmer outside, they don't flash at all. Should I be looking at the control unit? The flasher? I haven't priced them yet, but I'm sure the flasher would be cheaper. Thanks!

I would gather dirty contacts rather than marginally operational flasher(old style at least) or bulb filaments; Both are either good or bad,not much in between. get some DeOxit.

So I'm assuming you are not running LED's nor have you changed your flasher to a newer style for LED's.

Your assumption on the LED's is correct. I'm still running original equipment. I'll give the contacts a try. Thanks!

The stock flasher relay is a thermal one, so I'd be thinking yours is faulty if it's being affected by temperature.
        Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )

        Past:
        VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....

Yeah, I was thinking about the contacts and couldn't think of any that both the left and right side had in common. The flasher relay might make more sense. Thanks!
