1982 GS850G speedometer interchangeability with 1983 GS1100GL?

I've been looking for a new speedo/tach set up for my damaged ones, I found the set up for a GS1100GL. The gauges and center console look the same, but are they actually interchangeable?

Yes, those will interchange just fine.

If you look up the part numbers, they are the same.

Actually, an '82 originally came with an 85mph speedo. Either it's really an '83 or the speedo was switched at some point.

Good find! That's a great price, and you aren't stuck with the old 85 mph speedo.
