      Yeah, think I've used mine once in 3 years since I got the AGM.

      Stuff I've done to my bike 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

            My 450 has the same issue of making it almost impossible to check fluid levels without pulling the battery out, which means resetting the clock on the Acewell every time... last time I swapped to a Motobatt and haven't looked back.

              With the new batteries its all in the set-up. When you put the acid in it for the first time, let it sit overnight with the caps off. It is producing heat with the added acid. Then put the battery tender on it after it has sat and cooled down. The excess heat can warp the thin plates inside the battery. When the plates touch each other(there are many), what was 1 plate is now 2. Unless batteries have drastically changed, this is how Honda trained us to treat new batteries. I just had a Yuasa that lasted over 6 years.

                    Ditto. Every time I've been able to commission a new wet battery and done it right, it's given good service. Nearly every time I've bought a battery from a shop that's been filled by them, it's been mediocre in lifespan.

                      I replaced the battery in my 1000EN with a Motobatt. AGM, 2-year free replacement warranty, and only about $15 more than a standard LA battery.
