Um, I assume you're referring to the heat resistant sleeving over some parts of the wiring? Ebay gives you quite a few results if you search for "high temperature wire sleeve", for example (it's not cloth IIRC).

If you leave out the high temp, you get all sorts of sleeving.

Personally, I like spiral wire wrap/sleeve, which can be wound around existing looms. I'll update one of my threads later on with a picture where I have used this.#1: 1979 GS 550 EC "Red" – Very first Bike / Overhaul thread New here? ☛ Read the Top 10 Newbie mistakes thread

Any decent electrical suppliers ( Especially the ones that sell replacement cooker/grill elements ) should stock the stuff you are looking for it's used quite a bit in electrical cookers. The big guy up there rides a Suzuki (this I know)

Suzuki used non adhesive harness wrap tape. Elliott Tape makes various grades of this material. Some high temp and some regular.

 Here is some cloth type...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Elliott-ET93...9UWCSC&vxp=mtr

 And high temp type...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Hi-Tem...3D111143615559Ed

I have only ever used vinyl electrical tape to partially re-wrap or even totally rebuild a harness.

Never had a heat problem with it....perhaps because I tied the harness away from most heat sources, but I don't recall doing that.

Electrical tape make the harness a sticky mess if you have to ever make a repair. That's why the OEM's use non adhesive tape instead.Originally posted by argonsagas View PostI have only ever used vinyl electrical tape to partially re-wrap or even totally rebuild a harness.

I found a couple of places to order from cheap. A few dollars for 3 feet of sleeving however, U.S. companies seem to want $25.00 USD to ship to Canada. It actually costs about $5.00 for shipping. They just pocket the other $20.00. Do they not want Canadian business? That's one of the reasons business with China is flourishing.80 gs1100 16-v ported & polished, 1 mm oversize intake valves, 1150 carbs w/Dynojet stage 3, plus Bandit/gsxr upgrades

My guess is they want to be compensated for filling out the customs declaration. It is somewhat time consuming. Works both ways though, I bought some parts from Canada, parts were $30US, so was shipping. It was a toss up buying new from Partzilla but they were not in stock.Originally posted by nastyjones View PostI found a couple of places to order from cheap. Maybe so, but I still say a reputable retailer wouldn't offer a cheap product then try to make it up with shipping.
