I recently finished rewiring my '79 GS1000L and everything seems to work fine, until I get the engine above about 6,000 RPM at which point the gauge cluster and headlight all go dark. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of where I should start to look to fix the issue? The bike has a new stator, LED tail light, Dyna ignition and coils, and SH775 R/R.

Use a voltmeter to see if the battery voltage is dropping below 12.8V. If not you probably have a loose connection. -
"Dark" as in completely out?.... or just dim like the charging isnt working ?Bikes
