Did the install complete with new Dyna Coils, wires, and threw in new plugs while I was at it.
Incredibly easy install considering the kit was for points and I had the signal generators.
Worst part of the install? Coils. The secondaries had to face up and forward. I bought various nylon spacers to stay away from the primary wire terminals while still using the OEM mount tabs on the frame.
While in there I cleaned all kinds of electrical terminals and grounds everywhere I could get to.
Also took a 4-wire relay I had laying around and wired up the coil primaries to a fused battery lead using the old ignition lead as a trigger wire for the relay.
Did both static and dynamic timing checks. Only thing I noticed was that the ignition plate was almost at the limit of travel to get the timing where it should be.
Back to four cylinders now and a much better running engine.
Now.....on to more projects.
Thanks to all who contributed to an earlier thread I started on this.
