GS Valve Spring Compressor suggestions?

Since you asked...Buy the valve spring compressor. If you only had one valve to remove, then yes, make some home made c-clamp and pipe device. If you are doing a whole head or many heads you won't regret buying the purpose designed tool. They are reasonably priced and VERY easy to use.

They are about the price for a GOOD set of valve seals anyway.

Here's what I did:






I'll send you the round spring compressor tool, you just have to supply a big c-clamp and you're in business.
Just promise to send back my tool when you're done
This was done on an 82 1000cc 16v head. Twice, when I realized I had put some of the springs in upside down.
