Bury that critter asap- go ebay (or boneyard) hunting for decent replacement. I bet the 850 starter would work-someone will know for sure.

      Hi,

      A few options:

Aftermarket Motorsport Electrics parts for motorcycles, dirtbikes, atvs, motosport vehicles manufactured and distributed by Rick's Motorsport Electrics

Places like J.C. Whitney and Motorcycle Superstore also sell aftermarket/rebuilt starters.

Or buy a used one from eBay and clean it up, replace the brushes, etc.

      Thank you for your indulgence,

      BassCliff

Well a lesson learned. Wont be buying a used starter again. Back in the same boat. That was a waste of $60

Bring all your pieces and parts over, let's see if we can combine them into one good unit for you.

Looks like a bad solenoid or starter clutch took that starter for a ride!
