    Petcock

Does anyone know a way to bypass faulty petcock and put a needle valve instead?

Best way is to get new petcock for $50 and look for other stuff to mess with.

I think Z1 sells kits, but you could just plug the vacuum line and keep it on prime with a second in line valve. Unless it is the '80 leverless one.

        1) Pry open your wallet. Watch out for the dust and moths.

        2) Extract a card with an expiration date in the future.

        3) Order a new petcock. Here's one good place: http://www.z1enterprises.com/

Sorry, but it's the only way to do this right.

I have to concur. Someone had installed a chopped up manual petcock on mine. I used it for a little while like that then after forgetting to turn the gas off or on a few times I decided to buy the OEM unit and quit worrying about it.
