    Bolt for kickstand

Lost a bolt for my kickstand on my last ride. '78 GS1000

    1. I need to know what size bolt. i cant take the other off without making someone hold my bike up for 20-30 minutes while I run to the store.
    2. what's that reading material that shows all the bolts? someone posted it on my page once, can't find that post.

    Thanks!

Parts fiche list it as M10 x 30 but its a special shouldered bolt for the kickstand i believe. Suzuki still stock it 09100-10067

You could manage with a normal bolt for a while, anyway.

Just make sure you get a fine thread bolt -- 10mm diameter X 1.25mm thread pitch (JIS/Asian standard).

Most places will sell you a 10mm bolt with a 1.5mm thread pitch (US and Euro standard).
