    Identify This Grab Bar

I mistakenly sold this as a grab bar for a 78 1000C. It isn't that. Have been told in the for sale thread that it's not for a 1000 of any kind. Could this be from an 1100G?

It looks identical, at first glance to the grab bar off the 82 1100g I have. The 83 1100g is cast aluminum. I could campare measurements if you like.......

It's possible that it is off the bike in the pic below. No grab bar on that one and the box of stuff came from him. Measurements would be great! Thank you sir!

The center-to-center distance on the mounting holes is 125mm if that helps.

When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!

My bad! The one pictured is 125mm center-to-center of the mounting holes. The one I need is 110mm. Sorry about that!

So is there consensus that this is from an 82 GS1100G? Anyone else care to chime in?

I have this photo of a 1982 GS850G lying around, and the grab bar sure does look the same as yours. If you look closely you can see that little "break" or "peak" in the curve at the top. The 1982 GS1100G and GS850G use the exact part number for this part, so it could be from either.

FWIW, the 1983 G model shafties use a different grab bar, an aluminum extrusion with a rectangular cross-section. However, it would not shock me at all if the mounting points on the seat are the same.

Should I go ahead and list this for an 82 850G and 82 1100G or wait for more opinions? I don't want to be jerking any more people around with my lack of certainty. I've done that already and I don't like it when that happens.
