Highway pegs
What is the diameter of the engine case savers on a 1980 GS1100L? I want to purchase some highway pegs but they are offered in one inch and one and a quarter inch.

I suspect it would depend on the brand of case savers. Mine are probably inch, I know they are very small (750L) My cousin had big thick bars on his 850. Seems likely that you will have to measure.Originally posted by chef1366Comment

I have just stock. They are oval and measure one inch and a quarter accross the top and one inch up and down. That's why I'm confused.

I guess you would mount them to the vertical section that is one inch. I found a pair in a motorcycle graveyard while looking for a signal light.:-D Never thought to measure before hand, so I lucked out.Comment
