    I just got this bike, so don't really have a good feel for it yet. My 1980 GS850G definately does not vibrate like that.

      It looks like you have checked the rubber mounting pads at the front of the tank, but are the rubber isolators still OK on the mounting bolts at the rear of the tank?

      You can order these OEM parts from BikeBandit, or improvise using rubber corks from the hardware store.
