OEM Fuel Line

Did a search and everybody says 5/16" diameter. Just wanted to double-check. Can somebody verify this for me?

I changed mine this summer and wanted to clamp both ends (small hose clamps). Petcock side no problem. Carb side impossible. How do you clamp the carb side fuel line ?

Try safety wire or a small high-quality tie-wrap - you can tighten it with a pair of needle-nosed pliers.


Look for tie-wraps with metal tabs inside the head instead of plastic.

They make plastic junctions for fuel line available at most auto parts stores. You don't even have to clamp them on. Once they're installed they are a pain to get off.

I use the clear blue polyurethane fuel line and you dont need clamps.They slide on well and you cant even pull them off. You have to push them off with a small screwdriver.you can see it in my pics,(barely).i ask the suzuki dealer and they told my it was 1/4" and i had a hell of a time getting it on there,but i will change to 5/16" on my bs 32 ss cv carbs.

Come on, it is only 220mm of line, replace it all, you shouldn't need to join it.
What's that you say about it being difficult to get on the spigot between the carbs? slide the line over a long electrical screwdriver, then you just push it off onto the spigot.
BTW clamps aren't really necessary.

Yes Satch it is T-shaped, but that is the spigot, the hose goes on the longer leg of the T.
