This last pic gives hints of how the oil cooler is mounted, which I think is what we're looking for -- it appears to be hanging from a bracket bolted to the frame.

Was it a home brew bracket? How is it attached to the frame?

On the front of the GS frame there are two bolt hole's which on later bikes the horns are attached.

A bracket could be made to support the oil cooler and utilise these bolt holes.

I think on the Katans's Suzuki did exactly that.

Looking at the bike, the horn mounts seem to be the logical choice. I guess that brackets could be fabricated to suit.
I guess my major concern is the rubber cushioning. Suzi thought it important enough to spend money on it, so I think I should also.

The bracket came with the Derale oil cooler. I have some extra taps if anyone needs them.
