highest rpm method

I did a search and saw highest rpm method discussed but no link the the thread/post.

Set the idle to about 1000 RPMs. On each idle mixture screw screw it in (clockwise) till you hear the motor drop a bit and then take it out until you achieve the highest rpm. If you take it out too far it will actually drop in RPMs again. Find the happy medium. After you are done with a cylinder readjust the main idle knob back to 1000 RPMs. Repeat on all cylinders. Use a fan on the headers so you don't overheat.

Make sure you follow this with a carb sync.

Thanks for the response. I will try that. I have never heard of that done on multi-cylinder motors, only on singles. By ear or a inductive digital tach?

I tried it tonight, didnt work all that well for me so I just settled on 2.5 out from 2.0. May roll back to 2.0 as I think I am a little rich at 2 now I bumped up lol

I am gonna get a color tune as soon as get some money. Probobly like christmas
