    Gasket Set For 1985 GS700ES

    Ladies & Gentlepersons;

    I'm finally going to have time this winter to rebuild the motor in my '85.

    Does anyone beside Suzuki sell a complete gasket set for the GS700ES motor? I looked at Vesrah's online catalog, but their kit is hard to find. Checked BikeBandit, Dennis Kirk, all the usual suspects.

    Any great ideas for a manufacturer & vendor?

    Thanks!!!

    Sudco.com sells Vesrah kits. You might want to check there.

        As an engine builder I HIGHLY recommend you stay AWAY from Vesrah & use ONLY stock Suzuki gaskets if you want a leakproof rebuild. Some guys on here may have had good luck with Vesrah stuff but I have NEVER had a leak or failure with STOCK gaskets! Take it for what it's worth from someone with experience. Ray.

          I second the motion to ONLY use Suzuki gaskets.

          I've had good luck in the past with Vesrah, but the last set I installed had multiple material failures. Apparently, their quality control has left the building.

            Another Question, Then...

            Does Suzuki sell complete gasket kits for the GS700ES / GS750ES of the 83 - 85 vintage? If so, can someone drop a line telling me which part number to order?

            Thanks!

                That ebay link above is for a compete factory gasket kit for $100. I doubt you are going to beat that price. 700 gasket kit should be same as the 750 I think. Check individual part numbers to be sure if you are concern about interchangeability.
