Brown wire in headlight housing goes where?
I've got a brown wire (female end) in the headlight housing which has no mate anywhere to be found. Does this belong to something that wasn't an option on my 80 850L in the US?Tags: None -

My 801000G has one of those too.. It's a spare 12v switched auxillary.

Thanks for ending that mystery.
Is the "City Light" something used when riding right as opposed to parked? I never used the brown wire had just seen it mentioned as part of running light conversions.Last edited by posplayr; 06-29-2009, 03:26 PM.Comment

Don't know about the city light wiring, but that brown wire is what powers the running lights in the turn signals on my wife's '82 850L.
