rear shocks, eye to clevis/eye to eye?

I found a deal on nice eye to eye shocks, but I have eye to clevis. Could I just tap the frame and bolt the lower eye on?

You could make up an adapter to bolt to the clevis mount & take the Eye I guess but I wouldn't recommend it. It would also effectively lengthen the shocks by an inch plus.
