    exhaust gasket part number



    what is the name for part number 7 in this diagram? also how does the two center headers stay bolted up to the head, with everything except part number 7 on the headers are able to slide completely off with the holding rings bolted down.

    for reference i have a 1980 gs1100e

        It's a retainer, not a gasket. You need two per pipe on the inner pipes.

        The gaskets are part 3 on the diagram. There are also two sealing sleeves, part 8 on the diagram, for the connections underneath.
