exhaust thread verified..

I have a tap at home that I used to chase those exhaust header threads, after i had to remove a 2 broken bolts (another l-o-n-g story).

Unfortunately I won't be home 'til Sun evening, so I can't verify the thread until then.

Doctorgonzo was correct - the exhaust thread size is M8 x 1.25

This post actually indicates that Suzuki DOES use standard pitch, so the bolt (per that number) would be M8 X1.25 X 35mm, but don't hold me to that pitch.

Yeah, it's M8 X 1.25 X something or other for the 82 GS1000 I just got some 8 SS bolt replacements. $1.10 each at Ace. IIRC they are 40 long but that's also for a V&H afermarket header.

NAPA sells a kit with 10 bolts and matching nuts for 12 dollars. I have a kit on mine.
